Answer #1

4. We bend our knees when we land from a jump, rather than landed straight-legged, this prevents the chance of damage to our body.

This is because of impulse momentum principle. When we bent our knees while landing the time of impact increases and reduces the average force expert during the process.

Impulse = Change in momentum

Impulse = force × time. When we stop ourselves there is a fixed momentum. If we stop ourselves very fast then time deacreses and the other hand the force increases, but if we bent our knees then time interval increses and force decreases, therefore damage is also decreases.
