Given:

M1 = 4.5 M

M2 = 0.2 M

V2 = 258 mL

use:

M1*V1 = M2*V2

V1 = (M2 * V2) / M1

V1 = (0.2*258)/4.5

V1 = 11.5 mL

Answer: 11.5 mL

B)

use dilution formula

M1*V1 = M2*V2

2---> is for diluted solution

Given:

M1 = 6.5 M

M2 = 0.1 M

V2 = 716 mL

use:

M1*V1 = M2*V2

V1 = (M2 * V2) / M1

V1 = (0.1*716)/6.5

V1 = 11.0 mL
