2) Three broad managerial functions are Planning, Directing and Controlling.

3) A major difference between the income statement of a merchandising company and a manufacturing company is that the cost of goods section of a merchandising company show cost of goods sold, whereas a manufacturing company show cost of goods manufactured.

4) A manufacturing company usually has three inventory accounts which are Raw Material Inventory, Work in Progress Inventory and Finished Goods Inventory.
