*) tetrahedral geometry comprises from 4 coordinated bond. In this geometry, two bonds are in plane and two are (one is above the plane and other is below the plane). in tetrahedral geometry centre of symmetry is absent. on the basis of crystal field spliting theory, d-orbital of metal is spliting into two energy levels(upper energy is t2g and lower energy is eg). Tetrahedral complexes are high spin complexes.
*) octahedral geometry comprises from 6 coordinated bond. In this geometry, all bonds are on the axis. centre of symmetry is present. on the basis of crystal field spliting theory, d-orbital of metal is spliting into two energy levels(upper energy is eg and lower energy is t2g).
