The nurse must obtain a prescription for doing a potassium evaluation and based on that treating Hyperkalemia which would include 10 ml calcium gluconate slow IV push , asthalin nebulization ,25%dextrose and potassium binding sachet as the patient is taking potassium retaining diuretic for heart failure .
