Answer: The Leininger's sunrise model of transcultural nursing theory explain about the learning of the cultural competence in nursing. This will result into more accurate care of the patient. This study focuses on the values, beliefs and cultural differences among the people. This makes more development in the way of delivering care to the patient.

This theory consists of the cognitive study of the cultural differences, due to diversity in the population, various people and patient visits to the hospital. So, this theory implies the learning of the cultural differences and beliefs which results in proper handling of the patient. This will remove the barrier of the Communication as well as differences.

This model is needed as it can be easily applied in the nursing care to overcome by the cultural incompetence and barriers between Patient and Healthcare professionals.
