In an ultracentrifuge rotor rotates at very high speeds, capable of generating acceleration of about 98000000 m/s²

Since this is a very high value the centrifugal force of mv^2/r will be very high and push the particle to the periphery.Buoyancy may cause the particle to rise up but a major fraction of the particle will experience the effect.
