Is the internet an appropriate way for patients to obtain medical information to discuss with their physician? Why or Why Not? Explain?

This is for my Healthcare Risk Management class. I actually think it depends on where you go as some websites provide misleading information. However, there are some legitimate websites that provide accurate information. If you want to spin something from that, I'd like that.

Yes internet is the important tool to asses the information as well as easily retrieve the informations regarding the healthcare issues.

But the information search should be from the autunticated websites like government official websites regulatory websites.

Furtherance we should reply more on the primary sources of informations as they are usually not misleading, we should not more rely on wikipedia based information as its editable.

The primary physician desk informations as well as information gathered from the refreed journals can be trusted.

Thus it is very important to know the reliable source of informations during such information search. Thus by utilizing such practices we can effectively use internet in information asses without having the misleading informations.
