Answer #1

For construction of Pareto Diagram, the value "n" given for all the components is considered as Frequency (Count).

On the basis of this create a column to show the % of the total count across all the components, constituted by a given component.

The total count across all the components is 4057

The frequency of each component is expressed as % of 4057 to arrive at % of Total column

Then create a column of Cummulative % as running % of Total

The Pareto Diagram shows the Frequency & Cummulative % across each of the components.

The result is:

Components Buttons Selection Ke Thermostat Electric net Helix Turbine Motor Capacitor Compressor Pipeline Condenser Capilla Shell Curl Evaporator Wire Thermister Plastic front Vanes Other |Frequency % of Total|Cummulative% 1.53% 0.37% 7.74% 8.95% 31.65% 3.55% 8.31% 1.65% 6.95% 9.91% 2.12% 2.46% 5.37% 0.71% 1.16% 0.32% 1.21% 1.68% 0.81% 3.55% 621 15 314 363| 1284 144 33 1.53% 1.90% 9.64% 18.59% 50.23% 78%) 62.09% 63.74% 70.69% 80.60% 82.72% 85.19% 90.56% 91.27% 92.43% 9275% 93.96% 95.64% 96.45% 100.00% Component Pareto Diagram 1400 1200 120.00% 100.00% 80.00% . 60.00% 40.00% 20.00% 800 600 400 200 . - ו0.00% 67 282 402| 861 100| 218| 291 47 131 49| 681 331 144 -Frequency --Cumm ulative %

For each variable of interest, use its five-number summary to construct a boxplot. Each boxplot must be constructed horizontally, and must be accompanied by a brief descriptive paragraph that assesses whether the data appear to be symmetrical, left-skewed, or right-skewed.
