1. Accountants are particularly attractive to cyber criminals. The reasin behind this is they deal with high value commercial data and sensitive financial information on daily basis. Accountants must therefore understand how to identify and respond to cyber security risks. Example - SAP and oracle have biult in cyber security systems that can mitigate the risk of data breaches.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) extends the capabilities of computing to a whole new level. It lets systems to make predictions and make changes accordingly. It enables computers to perform machine based learning which earlier was left to humans. Example - With so many benefits AI is used for administrative and accounting resultsing in various structural change.

3. Machine learning ( ML) is subffield of AI.ML gives the computers the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed. ML uses networks that are designed to function the same way as a human brain.  ML start to recognise patterns, make connections and classify it according to the elements it contains. Example - Accounting apps learn invoice coding behaviours and suggest where transactions should be allocated.

4. Edge computing applications provides

much of the same functionality as desktop accounting software with one major difference. Edge accounting apps runs on remote servers and accessed via a web browser. Benefits of edge accounting are anytine, anywhere access, better security, automatic back up etc.
