Workplaceis an environment where majority of the people spend time.Communication barriers in the workplace can have a serious effect on the functioning of an organization.It is important to note that if organisations do not communicate the right information ,in the right way,to the right people,at the right time ,this could create problems and have an impact on the level of effectiveness and efficiency.Many workplace lack this.In my opinion this is the biggest communication problem in the work place.

For effective team work workplace communication is essential.It not only build and maintain relationships,but work place communication also facilitates innovation.Novel ideas develop only when the employees are able to communicate freely. If a workplace has communication problems it can lower the standards .There is also a tendency for some employees to mix their personal lives with workplace communications leading to decreased morale.Some employees opt for non verbal communication ,which could lead people to make assumptions which affect communication.If left unchecked ,ongoing communication problems can potentially cut into profits,increase turnover and lead to mistakes that negatively impact the companys public image.

Communication problems in the workplace can have a negative impact on morale,productivity and interdepartmental working relationships. The quantity and quality of communication within a team and from leadership affects team work.Every member of the team needs to take the initiative to communicate.When a team is not activily communicating ,their work is at stake.Communication bridges team together and needs to be practiced to ensure a team is working effectively and efficiently.For Instance,in a meeting a team member culdnt able o complete his part of the project on time and did not informed the team.One the day of submission of the project,he said he was not able to complete it ,as he needed more time.The company lost the proposal.if the employee have commmunicated this to his team head.he woud have sought for an extension and they will not have lost the work.

Effective workplace communications ensures that all the organizational objectives are met .Workplace communication is tremendously important to organizations as it increases productivity and efficiency.Ineffective workplace communication gaps between employees,cause confusion,waste time and reduces productivity.For Example , For businesses to function as desired,managers and lower-level employees must be able to interact clearly and effectively with each other through verbal communication and non-verbal communication to achieve specific goals.

To conclude in the workplace,good communication isnt just about mitigating conflict.it is also an important benefit of communicating effectively.Therefore good communication is an important skill in any environment with human interactions.
