I would like to answer this from a business perspective.

I would use Facebook to market myself and present myself in the same way as i would present myself before a customer. While Facebook has become an increasingly significant communication medium, for many businesses and organizations, their website remains the primary consumer touch point.

When users first land on my page, they’re encouraged to Like my page and check my website if they want any extra details of my business.

Even i would like to post the insights of the company and myself in the facebook wall even though the same exists in my company's website.

I would like to use the teaser content for making the clients or prospective customers to visit my website by redirecting them to my website for more information.

I would consider presenting our self or presenting or promoting our company is considered as giving our best efforts and putting our best forward. Because everything starts with a beginning and everything has to start from a beginning. So i strongly believe in presenting ourselves to others through social media for increasing our circle and scope of business also.

Without our efforts we wouldn't get this far, so we have to work somewhat harder to reach yet another stage in our life. So i consider presenting our self in facebook as putting our best foot forward and reaching to that stage.
