(Answer) There might be unique situations where a service worker can divulge information about the client. These situations might be riddled with loopholes or might deal with another institution or entity that has more authority or clearance over the information that the organisation that is dealing with the client.
However, there might be common situations where the service worker can discuss client information. If the client is underage and has a parent or legal guardian in medical situations, the service worker can surely discuss the client with whoever is in charge of them. Furthermore, if the client has lost their ability to be reasonable because of a traumatic incident or any emotional disturbance, the service worker might consult a handler on the case.
If at any time a service worker might feel that they have acquired sensitive information about a client that should be reported, it would be legal to do so only if a tangent of the law would permit. If there are no sections of the law that allow the worker to share the client’s information, it would be illegal to breach confidentiality.
