Items that are added back to net income in determining net cash provided by operating activities under the indirect method do not include an increase in inventory.

Correct option is (b)

Increase in current assets leads to outflow of cash, hence increase in any current asset is subtracted from the net income.

Thus, increase in inventory will be subtracted from the net income.

All other items i.e. depreciation expense, amortization expense and loss on disposal of equipment will be added to net income.
