Answer #1

1. (200 mL/1 m3)

=(200 mL/1000 dm3) as 1m= 10 dm

= (200 mL/1000 L) as 1dm3= 1L

=(200 mL/106 mL) as 1 L= 1000 mL

= 200 ppm. As 1 ppm = 1/ 106

2. 1 ft3= 28317 mL

So 75 L/2000 ft3

= (75000 mL/ 2000× 28317 mL)

=(75/56634)

=1.324× 10-3

=1324×10-6

=1324 ppm

3. Standard pressure = 760 mm Hg

Given concentration of SO2= 41000 ppm

So partial pressure= (760 ×41000)×10-6 mm Hg

=31.16 mm Hg
