Information governance is the management of information in an organisation . Health information professionals are the people who deal with patients case sheet and other papers most of the time . They monitor and maintain the records of the patients keeping in mind the ethical principles to be followed.

Health information professionals are a good fit for information governance beacaue already their main task is to gather and manage and maintain database regarding patients health and generating and analysing reports .They also ensure confidentiality, security of the patients health information .
