K2Cr2O7 is a strong oxidizing agent

In which Primary alcohols completely oxidizies to give its corresponding carboxylic acid (Carbon with maximum oxidation state)

Whereas; Secondary alcohol oxidizes to give its corresponding carbonyls.

Here; the reactant given is is primary alcohol CH2 attached to -OH group

So; the corrsponding primary alcohol oxidizes in presence of K2Cr2O7 to form corresponding carboxylic acid product.

Ethanol reacts with K2Cr2O7 to give Ethanoic acid (product C)
