Aniline is a highly active compound so to decrease its activity it needs to be protected by converting NH2 group into amide. then we carry out bromination to form para bromo product. After reaction amide group is removed by hydrolysis. then we do carry out diazotization reaction followed by addition of HBF4 and NaNO2 to form nitro product which undergoes chlorination followed by Nucleophilic substitution and partial hydrolysis to form the desired amide.
