Answer #1

1. (d)

An increase in plasma volume increases hormone concentration.

2.(d)

Cortisol is called as stress hormone which secretes during stress, exercise and low blood sugar level.

During exercise, cortisol regulates blood glucose level by breaking carbohydrate to glucose , mobilizes free fatty acid, and converts protein to amino acids. Long time exercise catabolises muscle protein and prevent new muscle formation.

3.(c)

Normal fasting glucose level is 80- 100mg/dL

100-125mg/dL is considered as prediabetic.

More than 125 mg/dL diabetic.

4. (b)

During exercise, diabetic level decreases. After exercise, if body demands more glucose insulin secretion increases.

5.(a)

Pancreas is secreting insulin as blood sugar level increases. After meals when blood sugar level elevates, signal goes to pancreas. And secreted accordingly the level of blood glucose. If it is more insulin secretes more if less insulin also less.
