The data is denoting about the no visible damage (S) and damage (F) There are 8 cars with no visible damage. Number of success 8 Sample size 10 The sample proportion of successes of cars having no visible damage is, n 10 -0.8 Thus, the sample proportion of successes is 0.8

Replace each S with 1 and F with 0. Then, 1 10 1 1 1 1 0 11 Now, the mean of the coded sample is, Mean,- = 10 10 =0.8

Thus, the mean of the coded sample is 0.8. If more 15 cars are included and the total number of cars is 25, then the number of cars should be S to get0.56 is calculated as follows: The number of successes is x = 0.56 x 25-14 Since 8cars with are there in sample of 10, so 14 8-6 cars with S are required to get the proportion of success as 0.56
