a: The postoperative management of pituitary prolactinoma includes close monitoring of development hypopituitarism and diabetes insipidusAlso we need to observe the client for symptoms of infections, postoperative bleeding, and maintenance of vital signs.Blood tests to make sure that the client is not suffering from serious hormonal imbalance and anemia. The patient also may experience nasal congestion, pain, and high fever during the immediate postoperative days. Need to manage these complications as per doctors order.

: The recovery will be according to the size of the tumor. Most of the time, if the tumor was not too big the patient will be cured after surgery. Will get better with proper medications and follow up care. There are success stories after surgery.

c: Postoperative care includes close monitoring for the occurrence of diabetes insipidus.It should be treated with intravenous antidiuretics. Intake and output volume must be monitored closely. Serum sodium and urine osmolality must be monitored closely. The treatments should be continued as per the degree of DI. The client must be treated for dehydration also.

d:It is important to take rest after surgery. The Doctor can advise the duration of rest after surgery according to the nature of his surgery. Need to walk every day to prevent complications like pneumonia.Need to avoid strenuous activities for 1 to 2 weeks.Need to take medications at the right time. Do not miss your medications as it is important to balance your hormone. Must be careful about prevention of infection at the incision site. Call your doctor or seek medical attention in case of an emergency. Most of the time the client will come back to a normal life after proper treatment and follow up care.
