Give an example of a hypothesis from your field of study (Building/Bridge construction), which satisfies the three criteria for a good hypothesis, if You cannot find a real example, try creating a hypothesis that could be tested in your field of study. The criteria for a good hypothesis: A statement is a good hypothesis only if it is either true or false. -A statement is a good hypothesis only if it either has some generality to it, or is about something specific that is as of yet unobserved. A statement is a good hypothesis only if it is neithee necessarily true or not necccessarily false. plz!! write the answer in Computer because i Can't understand your hansstyle. thank you

Your field is of Structural engineering which is the subdivision of civil engineering.

Suppose a being a structural engineer you are involved in a bridge-building and you advised the company that in the bridge irons will be the use of a certain specific tensile strength let say $\tau_{0}$.

A statistician is also involved in this for testing the hypothesis that if the imported iron rod are of $\tau_{0}$ tensile strength or not.

So, he set up the null hypothesis  $\tau~=~\tau_{0}$

against the alternative hypothesis that $\tau~\neq ~\tau_{0}$

The statistician started testing the hypothesis using each one of the irons that is going to be used in the bridge-building.that if $\tau~=~\tau_{0}$ he will not reject the null hypothesis otherwise he does.

Suppose if he does any mistake in testing the hypothesis and does not reject the null hypothesis in which $\tau~\neq ~\tau_{0}$ that is he should reject the null hypothesis, then the whole bridge may collapse because of use of iron rod which is of not recommended tensile strength.

This hypothesis is an example of a good hypothesis testing also because here, either we reject the hypothesis or not reject. The samples of rods are not usually observed but tested, and it is not necessarily that each rod will have same tensile strength and vice versa.
