Answer #1

When assessing posture from the posterior view you will palpate PSIS(Posterior superior iliac spine). You always see there are two dimples like structures on back, that is Posterior superior iliac spine. The posterior superior iliac spine is sititued above buttocks at the level of the S2 spinous process. SPIS gives attachment to the oblique posterior sacroiliac ligament.

The subtalar joint or talocalcaneal joint is present anteriorly.

Patella bone is present anteriorly on knee joint.

ASIS(Anterior superior iliac spine), as the name also tells that it present anteriorly.
