Answer #1

A. BMI is Body mass index

Weight of the patient is 155lbs = 69.75 kg

Height of the patient is 5'4" = 1.63 m

BMI is weight in kg/ height in meters square

= 69.75/ 1.63 × 1.63

= 26.5

Her BMI interpretation is overweight

B. UBW - 147

%UBW = current body weight / UBW × 100

= 155/147 × 100

= 105. 4%

% weight change = difference in weight / present weight × 100

= 155-147 / 155 × 100

= 5.1%

C. Mifflin-St Jeor Equation:

For women calorie estimate :

BMR = 10W + 6.25H - 5A -161

= 10× 69.7+ 6.25 × 1.63 - 5 × 67 - 161

= 697 + 10.1 - 335 - 161

= 707.1 - 335 -161

= 372.1 - 161

= 211.1 calories

#. Protein need = 0.8gm /kg

= 0.8× 69.7

= 55.76gm

#. Fluid need = 1500ml + weight in kg × 20 ml/kg /day

= 1500ml + 69.7× 20

= 1500+ 1394 = 2894 ml
