Hemodialysis is the most common type of dialysis in which the use of an artificial kidney also known as hemodialyzer which is used to remove waste and extra fluid from the blood.

But discontinuing kidney dialysis may cause patient discomfort, it depends upon the condition of the patient. If both the kidney is failed then discontinuing dialysis may result into death of the person. Because without dialysis, salts and other waste products will accumulate in the blood, poison the body, and damage other organs. The fluid build-up can make it more difficult to breathe. Sometimes depending upon the condition of the kidney, a physician may prescribe diuretics but it is for the initial stage.
