MM = 1*MM(H) + 1*MM(C) + 3*MM(O)

= 1*1.008 + 1*12.01 + 3*16.0

= 61.018 g/mol

use:

mass of HCO3,

m = number of mol * molar mass

= 7.5*10^-4 mol * 61.02 g/mol

= 0.04576 g

Now use:

Mass % of HCO3- = mass of HCO3 * 100 / mass of sample

= 0.04576 * 100 / 0.4312

= 11 %

Rounding to 2 significant figures because 0.00085 moles has only 2 significant figures
