Financial institution including banks and Non-Banking Financial Intermediaries have a peculiar way of customer services. A lot of people don't go just because they think its difficult to do the procedure.
Apart from awareness issue, there is also an issue of the spread of these institutions geographically. In the case of India, there are fewer banks in the tribal areas of Jharkhand, Assam, and some northeastern states. This geographical disparity in the availability of these institutions is also what determines the access to the same.
