VIEW A WORKBOOK IN MULTIPLE WINDOW

Viewing a workbook in multiple window helps alot in making comparisons. It can be done In two ways :

Firstly, to view a workbook in multiple window, open the Excel file that you want to view in multiple window. Then, from the Start menu open another excel. This will create another copy of Excel which can be displayed on another screen. Now open the same workbook again in the newly opened excel file and start comparing the workbooks.

Alternatively, Click View tab, on the Window group, select New Window. Then, Again from the View tab, in the Window group, select View Side by Side. Now, In each workbook window, select the sheets that are required to be compared.

CREATE A WORKBOOK TEMPLATE

1. Open excel.

2. From File tab, select Save As.

3. Select Browse and enter a file name (Say 'temp')

4. From the drop-down option choose Excel Template (*.xltx)

5. Save the excel file.

For creating a workbook based on above template, perform following steps.

6. From File tab, select New.

7. Select Personal.

8. Choose the earlier saved fle. ('temp')
