NOT ALL LEAKING COMPONENTS NEED TO BE REPLACED, THEY CAN BE REPAIRED PROPERLY FOR EFFICIENT FUNCTIONING. BUT THE REPAIRING HAS MORE PRIORITY THAN THAT OF REPLACEMENT. ONE WAY TO AVOID LEAKAGE AT JOINTS IS TO REPLACE O RING.. BECAUSE THIS RING MAY BECOME THINNER DUE TO AGE AND TIME... SO IT IS CINSIDERED AS DAMAGED PART AND REPLACED TO AVOID LEAKAGE.

SO BOTH TECHNICIANS ARE CORRECT.
