Solution : 7. D. Technician A is the correct Answer. As Technician B says that Exhaust value is only about percent of the size of the intake valve, but this is not true. Exhaust valves are also of same importance as of intake valve and stand the same stage and value as of intake valve. As in example of I. c. Engine we can see that during exhaust stroke whole functioning is carried out by exhaust valve. - Also according to Technician A, the dis assembly must include the valve springs and its squareness and spring force must be checked and inspected. Due to the working of springs for long duration and due to simultaneous working loads at high pressures and temperature, the yield property of strength of springs gets affected and hence strain gets developed and dimensions of spring change over time.

Conclusion - Both the valves of intake and exhaust are of same importance. Springs must be checked for squareness using a square scale and flat surface.
