Data sets are used in all health care settings to identify the data collected from each patient.some of the data sets used in health care settings are;

1)OASIS (outcomes and assessment information set)

It is a standardised information set used to collect data about Medicare beneficiaries receiving home care . This data sets all data information from all home care patients. It is used to assess outcomes and major quality of services giving to patients.

2)DEEDS( Data elements for emergency department system)

This data set is used to collect information about hospital emergency encounters. This type of data sets collect 156 data elements in each section . It is developed to reduce incompatibilities in emergency department.

3) HEDIS( health care effectiveness data and information set )

it is a set performance measures used to compare the performance of managed health care plans . .it includes Administrative claims and health recovered review. This data set is used to assess the outcomes of treatment and encourage the performance improvement for Heath in practice , for example cancer screenings , diabetic care , smoking cessation etc ;
