Answer #1

Answer is enthalpy of solid barium hydroxide plus water is greater than that of the solution, at the same temperature.

Ba(OH)2(s) + H2O(l) -> Ba(OH)2(aq)

Here, ∆H = ∆fH(Ba(OH)2(aq)) - [∆fH(Ba(OH)2(s) + ∆fH(H2O)]

Since, ∆H is negative hence subtracted term is greater than that of term from which it is selected.
