Number of lawyers would reduce, as many such lawyers would not be able to clear the state bar association exams and would lose their degrees.

As the supply of lawyers in the market gets reduced, the supply curve in the lawyer labor market gets shifts to the left, leading to an increase in the compensation or wages of the lawyers.

b)

This is not a good proposal by the California government. This is because this proposal would reduce the efficiency test of the lawyers and any lawyer having any degree with any marks can now become a lawyer in California (even by showing a fake work experience of 1 year) and thus increase the number of lawyers in California and being down their wage rates. Also, the quality of lawyers in California would also get reduced.
