Question : What did you find interesting about the different typs of jobs in accounting?

Answer : Accountants have careers that use wide variety of skills. They can choose from several types of accounting careers. The most interesting part is that every company irrespective of its size and structure runs smoothly only when it's accounts are maintained properly and that defines the job of an accountant. Also the scope of an accountant is quite large. While the whole accounting system is based on few accounting priciples, the application of these can be done in many different ways :

The major areas of accounting are:

  • Financial Accounting
  • Forensic Accounting
  • Tax accounting
  • Auditor
  • Cost Accountant
  • Management Accountatnt

Question : What skill sets are necessary for successful accounting career?

Answer : The skills that are necessary for a successful accounting career are as follows:

  • Problem Solving skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Communication skills
  • Integrity & Ethics
  • Research skills
  • Expertise in data analytics and accounting softwares
  • Objectivity
  • Fairness & Confidentiality

Question : Does a career in accounting sound interesting to you? Why or Why not?

Answer : Yes, I think a career in accounting is quite interesting for various reasons such as oppurtunities for professional recognition to wide range of career choices. According to me, the advantages of a career in accounting field are as follows :

  • Job Security : As long as businesses exist, there is a contantly increasing demand for an accountant.
  • Professional growth : There is large scope for professional recognition and growth to reach the top of your game when you choose accounting field.
  • Flexibility : There is a flexibility of work place in the accounting field.
  • Various career options : From being a financial accounatnt to a business analyst to a financial manager, one can choose from various varities of career choices as an accounatnt.
