(a) Describe, in words, what the population proportion, p, is in this situation.

(b) Set up Ho and Ha (Remember Ha is the research hypothesis).

(c) In a random sample of 150 recent donations at a certain blood bank, 82 donations are type O blood.

(i) What is the P-value? (Hint: Use the normal approximation to the binomial)

(ii) What decision would you make if you were using α = .01?

(iii) Perform the same test using a 99% standard approximate confidence interval.

(iv) Does the result of this test (iii) agree with your result from part (ii)?
