United States Vaccination decline:
According the CDC national level data the immunization rates are lower than the targets CDC target. The rates of vaccination of 6 vaccines have been obtained. These data were checked in the year 2012 and compared to the year 2011.
The rates of vaccination had improved slightly in case of some of the vaccines, but, it had been observed that even after significant efforts, adults seemed to neglect the importance of vaccination. There was a significantly low proportion, 20%, who had been immunised for pneumonia, even after being at danger. Only 64.2% were immunised for tetanus. And only 14.2 percent were immunised for Tdap. Moreover, it was found that the vaccination for hepatitis A was even low than Tdap, staggering to a mere 12.2% for adults in the age group 19-49. Though, it was observed that the vaccination for HPV had increased by 5% from 29.5 to 34.5. And, there was an increase in the vaccination of zoster vaccine from 15.8 to 20.1. Adults are being urged by various officials to take the idea of vaccination seriously. Also, it is thought that the increase in vaccine preventable diseases is attributed to this negligent approach of adults. The cases for whooping cough have been seen to be 48277, which is the highest since 1955. The condition of adult vaccination is serious. The condition is deteriorating with passing years and. There are more efforts put in by the officials to educate people for vaccination and for removing barriers.
