Define each of these technologies (i.e. what do they do, or what is the purpose of them). Then note how the technology helps improve safety, and how human errors could make the technology unsafe. For example, if the wrong drug were stocked in the ADC by the pharmacy technician, this would be a human error and would undermine the safety of using the technology.

Medication Administration Record is a form which is used to document medications a client has recieved and is currently recieving.

it helps in checking the medication order,prepare the correct dosage and record the medication administered.

if someone other than the the nurse transcribers messes with the order the nurse must double-check the transcription to make sure it is correct.

2 In CPOE providers directly enter medical orders from a computer or mobile device

it eliminates handwriting errors,reduce transcription errors,reduce incomplete orders,standardize order writing and embedded decision support.

Human capabilities and limitation when interfacing with the system.

4 In Automated Dispensing Cabinets medications is a drug storage devic or cabinet that electronically dispenses medications in a controlled fashion and tracks medication use.

it allows nurses immediate access to medication at the point of use without requiring a visit to the pharmacy.

Multiple dose access is still common in systems allowing for diversion and misuse .it requires maual removal of expired medications .
