When a protein is denatured by generally concentrated urea solutions, it disrupts three dimensional structures like quaternary, tertiary, and secondary structures by breaking hydrogen bonds, disulfide bonds present in random coils, alpha helices and beta sheets and finally it becomes a random shaped. But primary structure is intact (sequence of amino acids - polypeptide).
