Answer #1

James Tanner was a paediatrician who developed a rating scale to measure the stage of maturity in males and females based on primary and secondary sexual characteristics. This scale is known as Tanner scale which is five point scale.

It grades males based on developed on genitals development.

It grades females based on development of mammary gland tissue.

It also takes into account the growth pubic hair.

If a male has coarse adult like hair that extends medially towards the thigh which looks like a diamond in shape he is graded V according to Tanner scale.

So the maturity stage is (a) V
