Mole is sually non cancerous development of skin. And it is because of hyperpigmentation of melonecytes. Sometimes it is considered as birth marks. It may be brown or black.
Most of the time it does not require any treatment.
If it increase in size suddenly than you must contact your doctor because it needs for further investigation. Many a time increasing mole can lead to cancer. So the advantage of early seeking medical advise is early dignosis of preventable disease. And treatment can be done as early as possible.
The disadvantage is that delay medical advise can lead to dangerous disease like cancer and treatment is than lengthy and costly . Patient has to suffer more for that.
