1) A point charge q = -0.49 nC is fixed at the origin.

2) Where must a proton be placed in order for the electric force acting on it to be exactly opposite to its weight? (Let the y axis be vertical and the x axis be horizontal.) - ans: I know the proton in question needs to be placed below q

3) Second part of the question is asking to express the answer to 2 significant figs, and have units in KM.

I have been working this problem using Fe=Fg and using Coulombs Law; k(q1q2)/r^2 and then equating it to mg. My answer keeps coming up wrong. Please help! I have triple checked my work, not sure where I'm going wrong. Maybe the formula? I kept getting 2.81*10^5, and fooled around with the sig figs but came up empty. I used electron charge as my q2. The question is very confusing because it gives such few details. Thank you for your help!
