When we see in any country in the world we can see that the religious beliefs are often interwined with health practice, influencing the acceptance of illness , treatment and nursing care, competent sensitive nursing care is to be given to those admitted to the health care sytem and it is essential that the nurse is able to relate to patients of different faiths and culture, treating the patient as an individual is important because of differences such as religion , culture, gender, education socioeconomic status and family traditions.nurses need to appreciate and respect the patient as an individual in so far as it is possible within the limits of the facility and the medical regime for the patient the nurse should support and assist that individual in maintaining traditional religious pracctices important to that person, they are most common practices affecting the nursing care of the inpatient of a health care facility like hoildays, diet fasting,prayers, clothing/modesty, visitors, scriptures or sacred writing , religious symbols, local religious leader, terminal illness and death, In Baptist chruch practices that may affect nursing care is that ir refer to christainty regarding usual practices of chrisitains individual patients should be consultedabout practices is important to then like prayers (quiet time for reading the bible , local religious leaders(pastor) sacramentss( upon request the pastor will offer comfort or perform communion) terminal illness/ death( upon request the pastor will lead bedside prayers). etc
