Answer #1

According to Le Chateliers principle if a system at equilibrium is subjected to a stress then the system behaves in such a wTemperature is raised -- since ∆H is positive, this reaction is endothermic. On increasing the temperature reaction moves forward. Equilibrium shifts towards right. The system shifts from left to right.

More chlorine gas is added -- On increasing Chlorine concentration , reaction moves in backward direction. System shifts from right to left.

PCl3 is removed -- On increasing PCl3 concentration , reaction moves in the backward direction. Equilibrium shifts towards left. System shifts from right to left.

Pressure on the gas is increased -- On increasing the pressure , volume decreases and number of increases , reaction moves in that direction which has lesser number of moles. Reaction moves backward. System shifts from right to left.

Catalyst is added -- No effect in equilibrium. No effect

Consider the following equilibrium reaction. P4S3(g) + 8O2(g) = P4010(s) + 3SO2(9) AH = -3677 kJ If heat is removed from an equilibrium mixture of P4S3, P4010, O2, and SO2, then O Keq will decrease. the system will remain at equilibrium with no change in concentrations. the system will shift toward reactants to re-achieve equilibrium. O the system will shift toward products to re-achieve equilibrium. more information is needed to determine the effect on the equilibrium.
