cultural competence is much important in health care.The nurse who treat the client should have the knowledge about the client cultural background.Once you know about the client's beliefs and practices it is easy to maintain the good interpersonal relationship with the client.Suppose you are health teaching a client about some health promotion topics you should taught to them according to their practice.Teach them how to follow in their own cultural belief.your health education should be relevent according to the client culture.For example if you are health teaching the mother about the weaning practices you can't teach the same content to the mother from different countries.Because their habits varies there hence should consider the cultural aspect.So the healthcare provider should be competent enough in cultural aspect in providing care thus promote health.
