Topic 1 Ethics in Marketing: Marketing to children, marketing to seniors. Pick one, and then get more specific. Why is this an ethical issue? Why do you think marketers toe/step across the lines? Marketing - It is the process of promoting, advertising and selling the product or service. It makes the product more salable in the market.

Marketing for Children- There are many companies who make products for kids, products for children are cartoon serials, cartoon books, video games, eatables, snacks, soft drinks, clothes etc. Children are not easy to be targeted. Companies who make products for children, their target market is children, they can divide the children into categories like very small kids, 5 to 10 years kids, 10 to 15 years. Companies who are making marketing strategies and campaign, they should keep in mind following points:

1. Advertisement and cartoon series should not include any adult or inappropriate character or thing,
2. Advertisement should contain the easy language and it should be attractive to children. One advertisement should not be repetitive all the time as children feel bored.
3. Companies should follow the ethical values while targeting the children.
4. Marketing strategies of companies should not have any negative impact on children, they should not learn something bad or negative from the product offered.
5. Product should not contain any harmful chemicals, plastic etc. that can harm the children.
6. Companies should take feedback from parents time to time.
