Solution:

The experimental value of ksp = 3.2 x 10^-5

Literature value for ksp = 4.68 x 10^-6

Thus, the experimental value is higher than literature value of solubility product of Ca(OH)2.

Ksp of calcium hydroxide is calculated as,

Ksp = [Ca2+] [OH-]^2

The higher value of Ksp is due to the high solubility of Ca(OH)2 in water. The solubilty of calcium hydroxide is highest in cold water. Its solubility decreases with increasing temperature. Thus, if solution was prepared in water having lower temperature than 25°C, then solubility will be higher, therefore solubility product is also increases.
