The drink Pina colada contains fats, sugar, water and alcohol. In a detailed pathway, make a pathway for water as where it travels in our body to eventually be excreted out. Be as detailed as possible like how it gets absorbed by the Large intestines then the hepatic portal vein then liver then the heart and so on.

PLEASE BE DETAILED AND LIST EVERY PATHWAY THE WATER WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH UNTIL IT GETS EXCRETED OUT!

Answer #1

Ans- As water reaches to the small intestine it wil be absorbed

Mechanism of absorption-- it will be absorbed osmatically ..as the sodium is absorbed in the cell by various mechanisms like by active transport by NA+-K+ ATPase ...so that osmarity is generated and water is absorbed .....co-transport of water also occur with other solute ....but due to tight junction in the small intestine diffusion is very low

Absorption in large intestine --- in large intestine nearly 80% of fluid iis absobed and absorption of water is by osmosis mainly as the sodium is active and passively absorbed by the sodium channel so that osmatiic gradient is created and hence absorption of water occurs ......active absorpt of water doesn't occur ...co transport with the other solute occurs .......

Absorption of water in the kidney --- as we know pct and dct and loop of henle have counter current mechanism...so that here nearly 99% absorption of water occure as compare to filtrate ...... absorption of water also occur in collecting duct viia the porolin channel that allow free flow of water without ant energy.....

On dct there is reception of aldesteron present that absorbs sodium and water and excrete potassium and hydrogen ion

As the fluid goes dawn in loop oof henle there is due to osmarity gradient ......lots of water is absorbed and it goes to the blood circulation by counter current mechanism ....
