26. NaBH4 is a mild reducing agent and reduces the ketone into 2° alcohol.

It produces Diastereomers (has more than one chiral center)

27. It is an example for Nucleophilic addition reaction of alcohol with ketone and Forms acetal.

With one equivalent of Alcohol gives hemiacetal and with 2 equivalent of Alcohol gives acetal in acidic medium.

28. It also example for Nucleophilic addition reaction, and forms Cyclic acetal since alcohol is a vicinal diol.
