The university of Michigan's program of full disclosure and compensation for medical errors helps decrease in new claims for compensation,time to claim resolution and reduce the liability costs..it made ethics and patient safety concern..This model helps U-M proactively see for medical errors..Fully disclosed found errors to Patient and offered compensation when they found fault..

It helps engaging patients and family bin advance with more conclusion make accurate focus on things happening to them if there is any misunderstanding and misimpressions..

In university of Michigan health system when there is malpractice litigation it is the policy of saying sorry with open discussion..They are doing right things to their patients with public interest..Their state law,builds a six month cool off period in malpractice lawsuit process..if patient thinking of malpractice they must alert with notice of intent..both parties have six months to consider their cases before going to court..UMHS uses this six months for investigation focus on patient and their attorneys represent and eliminate their need to solve litigation..

U- M Physician at U-M hospital they are part of medical school and medical group practice..The U-M general counsel manage this claims against the medical staff, through staff and outside attorney..
