Human trafficking refers to using humans under force or pressure to be beneficial to the traffickers .It is still prevalent in Columbia Maryland and Virginia

In Columbia this is very highly prevalent and it is practiced in daily life where the elderly man or women having a friendly good will relationship with the younger children over a period of time. As a result the children believe them and tend to do whatever they say and simply follow .In most cases these children are subjected to some form of physical or emotional abuse ,they land up in child sex trafficking out of fear and forcefully by these fake well wishers. The main risk factor is poor socioeconomic status, low or poor academic, mentally depressed, isolated.The adults are at risk because of drug addiction .Childrens Law center takes its responsibility in saving these children from being victim and helping in the rehabilitation.

Maryland is also a place where human trafficking occurs .It is because of good and cheap transportation by bus,train in the east cost of Maryland .The risk factors are availability of drugs,lack of awareness, solicitation, they deal with drugs .This has laed to the number one sex trafficking area.Maryland Human Trafficking Task force is responsible to oversee human trafficking here.

Virginia is famous for human trafficking in the way for using them in sexual exploitation or as reproductive slavery.It is done something like a recruitment and placement but under force.They are considered to be slaves and supposed to do what a traffickers wants them to do.Freedom 4/24, Value Human Trafficking Initiative are some initiation in overseeing and helping the victims.
